We started here...
Then we enjoyed the drive back into town...
And ended up here...
Which lead to this...
Then it was off to here...
Where there is a lake that is drained by the electric company in the winter so it looked like this...
And I did it all, again, in these...
Tomorrow the flip flops will head to Yosemite for the rest of the week.

Hey, you're still doing my family vacation :) Moaning Caverns in Murphys! My brother and SIL got married in Murphys (SIL grew up in Angels Camp, your DH will know where that is). Next time I'm near Sonora looks like I'll have to stop by that fabulous yarn store! Yummy!
Have a great time in Yosemite!

I thought Columbia had burned down - they had a story about it on the news when we lived in Sacramento. I'm glad to see it's still there. I haven't been there or Moaning Caverns since I was a kid, but I remember they were very cool.
As for that yarn shop, I used to go there quite often. I see they've changed owners. It's a shame we don't live in Sac anymore - you were right down the road from us and could have met us in Old Town or something. Sigh.
Welcome to my part of the state!

Nice looking yarn store. My favorite picture is your Hub waiting so patiently in the chair and based on the haul he waited!
Looks like you are having a great time and I love seeing all the pictures.

You continue to make me jealous! I love Twain Harte too AND Angel's Camp and all those places. I've been to that yarn shop and it's a good one.
Groveland is very cool and then of course, Yosemite is THE best.
I'm enjoying a vicarious vacation through you, thanks bunches!

Hey, the 49'er moved! Just a few yards though and I think the name changed. Same owner though. If you get there, tell Joe his Arkansas hillbilly friend says hello!
